Summary

The candidate responsible for Software Engineering tasks across a wide variety of platform products that includes the P-8A and its associated Software Architecture.

Responsibilities

Implementation of software requirements
Provide Implementation trade-space analysis to determine best-fit methodology
Create software design documentation
Test and verify software implementation
Adhere to standard software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc)

Ideal Candidate

* Development is performed predominantly in a Linux environment, so familiarity with Linux is essential. 
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
* 1 -3 experience in developing software, preferably with Software Systems that include Use Case Analysis, Requirements, Analysis, System Design, and Interoperability.
* Experience with Real-time and time sensitive application development
* Experience with SOA technologies (ESBs and Middleware Architectures, Web Services development, Software Systems Security)
* Experience in Java programming, to include J2EE and middleware messaging. (DDS, AMQP, JMS)
* Experience with automated testing techniques and technologies
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work under and thrive with tight project deadlines
* Proficiency in creating and modifying software architecture using Visual Paradigm or similar tools.

* Understanding in DoD Information Assurance (IA), Quality Assurance (QA), Configuration Management (CM) standards and policies.
