Senior Counsel

Electronic Arts Inc. is a leading global interactive entertainment software company. EA delivers games, content and online services for Internet-connected consoles, personal computers, mobile phones and tablets.

We are seeking an attorney with 6-12 years of transactional experience to be part of a team that provides transactional and general business counsel support for EA Mobile. You will work directly with the business, providing day to day advice and legal guidance on business strategies and risks related to commercial transactions and general operations. This position is based at our headquarters in Redwood Shores.

• Provide legal counsel and strategic business advice to select EA Mobile game studios. Negotiate third party technology and licensing agreements on behalf of such studios as required.
• Act as legal counsel for EA Mobile central technology and network engagement teams, which responsibilities shall include structuring, drafting, and negotiation of technology, marketing, licensing and other commercial agreements.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and develop strong relationships with business partners.
• Mentor, provide guidance and advice to junior attorneys and licensing associates within the group.
• Commercial transactional support for other EA business units as required.

• B.A/B.S., J.D. degree and California State Bar membership required.
• 6-12 years of relevant transactional experience in technology and commercial transactions, prior in-house and top-tier law firm experience are required.
• Experience working on a broad variety of legal matters, in particular, experience with ecommerce and privacy issues, is required.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills along with excellent business judgment, creative problem-solving skills and strategic thinking are required.
