Linux System Administrator

Edgestream Partners, L.P. is an algorithmic hedge fund founded in 2003. We build robust, high-quality software that we run and manage on a global network of compute servers. Our software implements real-time mathematical models (using Machine Learning) that trade around the clock in many of the world’s financial markets and asset classes.

We are a small group of scientists and software engineers who take pride in our software craftsmanship and are looking to add a systems administrator to our team.

• Provision, test, and monitor our globally-distributed, high-availability, compute infrastructure
• Extend our in-house infrastructure with cloud-compute resources
• Design and implement SD WAN for our global compute network
• Design and optimize our network storage infrastructure

Skills/experience that we look for in a team member:

• 5+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Developer/Administrator
• Netapp storage administration and management
• Networking (Cisco, Arista), including routers, firewalls, switches
• Configuration management (we use Ansible)
• Infrastructure monitoring
• Virtualization (we use RHEV and VMware)
• Knowledge of Python is a big plus
