Senior IT Market Analyst

The Senior IT Market Analyst is a member of the IT Product Strategy and Innovation team who participates in conceptualizing new Echo technology solutions through R&D, quantitative/qualitative analysis and business architecture.

• Performs and leads analytical studies, data analysis, market segmentation and research projects
• Pursues quantitative and qualitative methods, invests time in experimentation, employs analytical thinking to make purposeful and educated decisions
• Develops deep expertise of Echo’s internal and client-facing technology product lines; participates in designing new, complex technology solutions
• Follows technology and logistics industry trends meticulously and nurtures ideas into meaningful and value-driven products
• Actively participates in product ideation and analysis phases by gathering and refining initial business requirements from end-users, industry subject-matter experts, consultants and Echo executives
• Assists Director of Product Strategy and Innovation with structuring conceptual design/framework for solutions in development
• Participates in product release cycles as a product expert, including user acceptance tests and other product test exercises

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of database concepts, statistical analysis, data modeling, experiment design, research methodologies
• Proficiency in database, data analysis, analytics, reporting and visualization tools and technologies such as SQL, R, SPSS, SAS, Excel VBA, Tableau
• Business Analyst or equivalent work experience in the technology/transportation/logistics/ supply chain field (3+ years)
• Good analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate opportunities and apply technology and domain knowledge to accomplish positive business gains
• Readiness to learn new technologies and analytical tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, fluid work environment
• Self-managed and motivated
• Ability to follow through with tasks to their completion
• Very organized and detail-oriented and ability to ride a fast learning curve

Preferred Credentials:

• Exposure to the full software development lifecycle experience in an Agile-SCRUM environment
• Strong and proven skills in creating quality documents such as project charters, conceptual diagrams, business requirements/use cases, process flows, product backlogs
• Familiarity with logistics/transportation concepts and terminology

Education:

• Undergraduate Degree required or equivalent work experience
