Site Reliability Engineer

Dwolla provides platforms a simple, fast, and robust service for bank transfers (i.e. ACH transactions). Use branded or white label APIs to verify bank accounts instantly, transfer payments, keep balances, or route funds directly to bank account and routing numbers. A flat, transparent pricing model keeps transactions free of charge and monthly costs consistent. Additional features and services, like White Label or next day payments, may cost extra.

The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for continuing to expand our platform that enables the development team to manage, maintain, and monitor production applications and the related infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include supporting, configuring, and maintaining systems not yet transitioned to this self-service model.

• Provision and maintain infrastructure with code
• Assist with the selection, installation, configuration, and maintenance of information systems
• Management of core Amazon Web Services
• Responsible for automation and self healing system configurations
• Propose implementation and ongoing support of DevOps solutions including management and evolution of various environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through proactive monitoring, trend analysis, notifications and teamwork
• Enhance CI pipeline to reduce friction between application development and deployment
• Define and enforce appropriate technical standards and procedures including production implementation process management, failover redundancy and information security

• Proven experience in shell scripting and command line utilities. Experience with one or more high level programming languages such as Ruby or Python
• Experience in Linux and Windows Administration
• Experience managing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Compute Engine). AWS experience is a plus
• Knowledge of server orchestration technologies. (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.) Chef experience is a plus
• Experience working on a full technology stack within a cross functional, agile team
