The Merchandise Operations Coordinator owns the process management for consignment businesses, both the coordination with cross-functional team members and the communication out to store and vendor partners. Analyzes consignment data to make relevant and actionable recommendations. Simultaneously manages the pricing process. Responsible for price changes, unit letters, and applicable pricing reporting. Coordinates any ad hoc Merchandise Operations projects, such as the attribute process. Reports to Supervisor, Merchandise Operations. No direct reports.
Consignment
- Provides insight on consignment business through cross-functional communication and presentations
- Coordinates and socializes consignment processes with all pertinent team members
- Compiles, prioritizes, and works with vendor partners to address all store requests for consignment product and/or signage
- Completes ad-hoc analysis and communicates with field to provide support on store-specific needs
- Functions as the liaison between internal Merchant partners and external vendor partners to ensure the maximization of sales
- Develops strategic consignment reporting in Excel, Business Objects, and other data mining systems
- Analyzes data from both internal and external sources to make recommendations focused on maximizing opportunities and risk management
- Uses both logic and available systems to identify data integrity issues and determine solution
- Manages communication flow, content, and categories of multiple Outlook mailboxes
Pricing
- Owns process, timeline, and reporting related to all types of price changes
- Coordinates with Merchandising and Store Ops to ensure accuracy and execution of submitted price changes
- Manages the Unit Letter process for all Business Units, from process coordination to system execution to store implementation
- Makes use of aggregate pricing information from multiple sources, identifies recommendations and presents to the appropriate audience
Ad Hoc Merchandise Operations Projects
- Responsible for attribute process management
- Support the Merch Ops team to ensure delivery of both team and cross-functional goals. This should include any current Merch Ops projects.
- Additional projects as requested by Manager Merchandise Operations, Merchant Partners, Vendor Partners, or any relevant cross-functional partners
- Advanced PC skills with knowledge of Excel and reporting tools (PA, Business Objects, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills
- Prioritizes effectively and adjusts easily to changing demands; demonstrates strong time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on delivery of financial concepts
- Demonstrates curiosity and initiative to proactively seek information that will impact decisions and communicates them to both internal and external partners
- Must be able to understand relevant retail financial metrics
- Bachelor’s degree required
