As legal counsel you’ll have a broad range of responsibilities counseling the company on product development and our commercial evolution. You’ll develop and implement legal approaches and processes for our products globally. You’ll structure commercial partnerships, negotiate and draft a wide variety of agreements. Entrepreneurial by nature, you will have immediate impact with your analytic rigor, uncanny judgment, effective counseling, and ability to get things done.
- Take accountability for important issues and decisions and see them through
- Review, draft and negotiate all types of agreements - including inbound, outbound, infrastructure, and partnership agreements
- Advise technical and business development teams from the initial stages of product development, through launch, to market strategy
- Design, build, and improve legal department processes as we scale
- Build commercial strategy for product launches
- Manage internal projects, trainings, processes, and drive cross-functional efforts to successful completion
- Experience with and passion for intellectual property law, licensing, consumer issues in the digital environment, and information policy
- Experience counseling product development and working closely with designers, engineers, and product management
- Experience counseling and implementing go-to-market strategies
- Excellent writing, communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills
- Skilled at negotiating, drafting and interpreting technology agreements
- Eager to learn new technologies and ideas. Comfortable navigating complicated and nuanced issues
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well in fast-paced team environment
- 4+ years of legal experience in a relevant setting
- JD, admitted to the Bar, solid academic record
