Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct user research activities such as persona development and needfinding. -Conduct competitive audits and analysis. - Brainstorm innovative ideas. - Lead product design of our core consumer facing digital platforms. - Create all project necessary documentation including ecosystems, user flows, wireframes, sitemaps, user scenarios, functional specifications, navigation schemas and clickable prototypes. - Identify opportunities for improving the overall user experience. - Plan and conduct usability evaluations and usability tests. - Participate in user experience thought leadership within the company.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required. - Must be able to estimate statements of work, and handle multiple projects concurrently. - Must be a self-starter who will bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project they work on. - Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Excellent understanding and knowledge of User Centered Design principles and methods. - Strong self-management skills as well as ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team - Fluency in industry best practices with the ability to communicate decisions made - Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator. Proficiency at prototyping in code or using programs like Justinmind or Invision. - Familiarity with software technologies such as HTML5, Flash, CSS, Javascript, etc. - Outstanding portfolio of related work. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - Agency, consulting or In-house experience. 4+yrs experience. - Bachelor's degree preferred in design-related discipline: Interaction or Interface design; Architecture; Human-Computer Interaction; Service Design; Design Planning; Graphic Design; Communications. - Ideally has a Masters.
