As an Intern, we have a collegial culture – big enough to give you all the resources you need, and small enough so you can make a real difference. The Cinema Engineering team is looking for a well-motivated Mechanical Intern to work on a number of projects in development.
- Support the Mechanical Engineers prepare and release engineering information into Dolby’s Agile PLM system (Product Lifecycle Management). This will require taking CAD 3D models and converting them to dimensioned drawings for use by our suppliers and Manufacturing team
- The Cinema Audio Engineering team needs a self-starter assistance in setting up the mechanical workshop, tech benches and product assembly labs. This should allow Dolby mechanical engineers to remain focused on product development activities, thus minimizing the impact on development schedules.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or related field
- Great team player
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated to succeed
- Reasonably proficient in mechanical CAD, such as SolidWorks
- Capable of working with hand tools, CAD driven equipment (such as 3D printer) and thermal measurement tools is a definite bonus
