Summary

studioD’s Business Development team is responsible for developing and nurturing deep strategic partnerships with some of the biggest agencies, publishers, brands and tech companies in the world.

We are seeking a Business Development Director based in New York to create, manage, and execute on strategic partner programs to ensure the successful growth of our partner ecosystem. This position is responsible for the health, productivity and revenue generation of our partnerships and reports to the VP Strategy and Business Development.

We’re looking for results-oriented, hardworking, ambitious, driven, self-starters who want to be on the leading edge of content marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, negotiate and close partnerships deals with Agencies, Tech Companies, Publishers, and Brands.
  • Manage multiple business initiatives in a start up environment.
  • Establish deep senior level relationships with partners and proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner needs and opportunities for aggressive growth on an ongoing basis.
  • Define, develop and build partner programs as well as processes related to partner onboarding, implementation, scaling, and tracking.
  • Work with legal to draft agreements for partnerships and/or programs.
  • Work with partners to create, track, and measure partner progress to revenue and strategic goals.
  • Facilitate the creation of marketing materials; create and implement training programs for partners and our internal sales teams.
  • Establish on-going communication programs for partners; maintain and update partner information, educate partners and internal teams on best practices and joint value proposition.
  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate partner needs on an on-going basis.
Ideal Candidate
  • 7+ years experience in strategic or business development at a Media, Digital, Entertainment, or Tech company.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with experience sourcing, closing, building and managing long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to manage and understand the agency, publisher and tech landscape to create and build meaningful relationships.
  • Strong relationships with senior level contacts within targeted verticals.
  • Very strong verbal and written communication capabilities with all levels within an organization.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Productive and relentless problem solver.
  • Ability to travel to clients as well as represent our team at industry events.
  • Comfortable structuring, negotiating and managing the legal contracting process.
  • B.A or B.S degree from a leading university.
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, goal-oriented, aggressive, consultative, driven, and have a positive attitude.
