Demand Media is seeking an inventive, ambitious go-getter fascinated by influencing new media evolution that wants to work in a fun environment with an energetic team. The Account Manager is responsible for the maintenance of relationships with sales partners across the monetization team, including 3rd party sales representatives, agencies, and brands. We are looking for an individual with initiative and passion to support the growth of Demand Media’s media business. The Account Manager will have the opportunity to work with Demand Media’s flagship brands: Cracked, LIVESTRONG, and eHow in addition to its programmatic platform, D360.
- Work with a driven and highly motivated team to support sales operations
- As an Account Manager for Demand Media you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day partner relationships
- Attend client meetings to understand partner goals and objectives
- Participate in partner-brainstorming sessions
- Work with all internal departments on the development and implementation of partner campaigns
- Organize and conduct kick off calls with clients and internal teams to understand campaign deliverables
- Monitor and report campaign performance to ensure delivery and billing
- Work with Revenue Team to improve and optimize performance
- Present campaign results via Excel and PowerPoint presentations
- Manage client relationships and deliver superior customer service
- Understanding and proficiency in the following tools: Doubleclick Sales Manager (DSM), Doubleclick for Publishers (DFP)
- Cursory knowledge of Salesforce and comScore
- 2+ years of online experience in media planning or client service role
- 2+ years of project media related projects
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with broad range of internal and external clients
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Digital Media Industry experience preferred
- Well-organized and good attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented
- Strong computer skills especially in Excel, Power Point, and Word
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ad Serving software and tracking knowledge a plus
- Strong analytical and creative skills
- A strong ability to perform independently while working in a team environment
- High energy and sense of humor a must
