Data Scientist

• Explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources
• Be prepared to communicate conclusions and recommendations armed with results of data analysis
• Work with design and technology colleagues to create internal dashboards and other application interfaces (including JSON APIs) to mine data

• Education: A degree in Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Experience: At least 1 year experience as a data scientist, or at least 5 years experience in software development or database administration, or any combination thereof

Additional Requirements:

• Be comfortable working with unstructured data and APIs from third-party services such as Google, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as internal data sources
• Be proficient in a programming language (preferably Python, PHP, or JavaScript, or any combination thereof) and both relational and nonrelational databases
• Have worked effectively on your own or within a small team
• Be comfortable employing best practices for managing code, including code review, automated testing, and version control
