Full Stack Rails/JS Engineer

Contactually converts your contacts to relationships, all through email. The system identifies when you email a new lead, shows what you already know about him, and asks a few specific questions to learn more: how did you meet, how important is he, what are the next steps. The system then parses your response and automatically pushes all rich data to your CRM.

You’re an experienced developer looking for your next big challenge. You’re passionate about writing clean, concise, well-tested code, but you’re also a pragmatic problem solver. You follow the best practices for the technologies you work with and understand why. You love learning new things and teaching others about them. You stay up to date with the latest technologies and probably have sites like Hacker News or Coding Horror bookmarked.

• 3-5+ years as a full-time Ruby and/or Javascript engineer
• Strong knowledge of Ruby/Rails
• Strong knowledge of OO Javascript (Bonus: Backbone Marionette)
• Strong understanding of programming principles (OOP, REST, MVC, etc)
• Experience and/or interest in Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies
• Experience with one or more: Postgresql, Elasticsearch, Redis, MongoDB

Bonus:

• Contribute to OSS (Double Bonus: you wrote/maintain a Ruby gem or javascript plugin)
• Experience leading an engineering team
• Experience with DevOps
• Dog whispering
