The Sales Representative II will contribute to the Lamb Weston Foodservice Business Unit by penetrating, securing, and maintaining new foodservice operator accounts. Executes against company objectives with regards to new product introductions and innovation. Manages the sales forecasting and administrative activity resulting from successful operator sales placements. Executes and participates in the development of a comprehensive strategic plan to deliver company expectations for the assigned channel.
The Sales Representative II will be responsible to increase market share, improve profitability, and build sustainable growth for the organization. This position will contribute to delivering/exceeding the company’s sales and profit goals. This individual is responsible for developing, maintaining, and servicing strong relationships and partnerships with key operators.
General Responsibilities
- Make regular calls on target large leverage operators in assigned territory
- Develop and execute local sales strategies across the operator channel in the assigned territory
- Develop and implement operator merchandising programs focusing on ampliFRY, LTO’s, customized POS, etc.
- Ensure the success of new products through implementation of nationally focused promotions and programming
- Work with the supporting team to develop action plans to build volume in non-compliant areas and to close key operator opportunities
Financial Management Responsibilities
- Manage monies outlined for travel and operator trade budgets.
- Coordinate and communicate information that will assist the Field Sales Manager in managing the trade budget including approvals, reviewing, and updating contracts
Other Responsibilities
- Work closely with and provide support and insights to assigned operator accounts; is a source of field-based information
- Monitor, analyze, forecast, and report business results for the functional area assigned
- Identify and share best practices with the Foodservice Business Unit
Basic Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
- 4-years sales experience preferred
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong business management skills, including financial management skills and a strategic mindset
- Ability to be a team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills - both written and verbal
- Self-starter with high level of integrity
- Ability to travel 20-25%
- Proficiency with Computer Applications (including Microsoft Office)
- Valid US Driver’s License and ability to meet ConAgra Foods driving standards
