Job Summary:
Colony American Finance, LLC provides acquisition capital and term debt financing to residential real estate investors. We are seeking an experienced individual to serve as Vice President, Transaction Management to drive loan processing, closing and funding processes. The Vice President will work closely with senior management, clients, internal teams and various third parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage process of loan closing from kickoff stage, through underwriting, diligence, closing and post-closing
- Manage deal documentation and follow-up for post-loan closing financing, including interacting with capital markets team for warehouse and securitization funding
- Manage and direct loan coordinators and other deal team members as required
- Frequent communication with borrowers, third parties and internal underwriting team to facilitate efficient loan closing processes
- Work with deal team, legal counsel, escrow, title and other third parties to coordinate due diligence items, document preparation, loan signing, funding and closing
- Review and approve loan documents, closing settlement statements, escrow instructions and other documentation as required
- Develop and implement transaction process flow enhancements as required
- Manage transaction data and metrics and provide regular updates to senior management
- Additional duties as requested by management
- 4 year Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience?
- Minimum 2 years commercial loan closing and funding experience
- Legal background focused on commercial real estate is preferred
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in an active transaction environment
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Good Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Familiarity with Salesforce and other data management systems is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
