Senior Staff Information Systems Engineer

Production Support for BDI and internal applications for the Bank. As this is a key member of a small production support an engineering team, the key candidate will be responsible for providing production support to a 24/7/365 environment, and day-to-day user support with an objective of maintaining our stated Service Level Objectives.Solutions must adhere to Schwab Technology Services’ standards that address: security, reliability, performance, operational stability, and strategic alignment; it is therefore beholden upon the person in this role to be aware of these standards.

* Activities include: Engineering soultions, work individually or partner with our vendor and/or internal teams for problem determination and resolution, complete Ad hoc work requests. * Leverage our partnerships to obtain support from 3rd party vendors as needed, Incident Management, One-on-One Support, Root Cause Analysis, Request Processing, On-going Status and Communications, Customer

* BS/BA/MS in Computer Science or equivalent discipline 6+ years of professional experience in a production support role maintaining and supporting, scalable enterprise-class applications * Experience with the following: - Linux servers - Windows servers PowerShell (or related scripting languages) Perl Scripting File transfers (SFTP) Adept at diagnosing and resolving issues for highly critical applications Familiar with logging/monitoring tools (Splunk) * Strong leadership capabilities. Experience with Agile Development Practices and / or processes * Willingness to perform production support on-call rotation during off-hours and weekends
