Senior Manager of Tax Accounting

Celgene Corporation is a global integrated biopharmaceutical company primarily engaged in the discovery, development and commercialization of innovative therapies designed to treat cancer and immune-inflammatory related diseases in patients with limited treatment options.

• Responsible for preparation of the global income tax provision and assisting in all quarterly and annual income tax accounting and reporting (ASC 740), including return-to-provision true-ups and tracking of Deferred Tax Assets and Liabilities.
• Prepare and manage the tracking of income tax reserves (FIN 48), including scheduling of expiry of statutes of limitations, and computation of IRS interest.
• Assist with external auditor’s review of the global tax provision and related balance sheet accounts.
• Work with the US and International finance teams to ensure that information needed to complete the income tax provisions is obtained in a systematic process to ensure compliance with internal and external deadlines.
• Support the income tax compliance function in the preparation of certain federal and state income tax returns, and other projects.

• 5-7+ years of experience in taxation and accounting for income taxes.
• Advanced degree in taxation and/or certification preferred (CPA).

Skills/Knowledge Required:

• 5-7+ years of experience in taxation and accounting for income taxes
• Advanced degree in taxation and/or certification preferred (CPA).
• Pharmaceutical industry experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and US GAAP
• Familiarity with all areas of tax compliance, including Federal, State, and International Tax
• Must be team oriented and able to work in a group setting.
• Familiarity with Tax Research Systems (BNA, RIA are desirable) and Tax Compliance Software (Corptax)
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
