The Partner Specialist position supports Account Managers with pre sales questions. The Partner Specialist will have direct day-to-day contact with the sales force and is also responsible for educating Account Managers on the technologies and resources available to them.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Answer pre sales technical or program questions for CDW Account Managers.
- Assist Account Managers in providing solutions to their customers.
- Educate Account Managers on the products and resources to help them become as self-sufficient as possible.
- Review quotes and orders to minimize RMAs and identify potential add-on opportunities.
- Work with other departments at CDW to further relationships with customers, CDW, Partners, and Account Managers.
- Conduct conference calls with customers.
- Obtain relevant industry and/or partner certifications and attend approved outside trainings.
- Tracking of sales interactions.
Other Responsibilities
- Provide feedback to CDW Product Management and Purchasing concerning stocking levels and sales trends.
- Assist in training of Account Managers.
- Identify ways to increase partner profitability through program utilization and solution selling.
- Achieve assigned revenue and profit goals that align to company objectives.
- Assist partners to execute to the mutually agreed upon strategies between the partner and CDW through sales awareness activities.
- Identify tools for increasing Account Manager productivity.
- Assist Partners with internal marketing efforts at CDW designed to increase sales.
- Concentrate on certain areas of technology driven by partner focus or company technology objectives.
- Participates in red carpets and customer meetings as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years’ experience in technology sales or pre-sales consultation
- 1 year experience in sales and/or marketing

- Ability to think creatively and come up with proactive ideas that will increase sales.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technology sales
- Relevant partner technical certifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced work environment
