Cardlytics is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our Finance team. This role will be part of a fast-paced organization and have the opportunity to collaborate with the Controller and the Executive Team in the direction of the accounting functions of the organization.
- Oversee the month end closing process including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist Controller in overseeing accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Collaborate with Controller on adoption of new accounting standards and addressing technical accounting topics such as revenue recognition, debt and equity arrangements and stock-based compensation
- Coordinate with internal auditors and manage Sarbanes-Oxley control documentation
- Primary contact for external auditors, ensuring the timely resolution of issues and completion of audits
- Initially manage a team of four with an opportunity to manage a team of eight and responsible for staff development, evaluation and mentoring
- Drive continuous improvement of the finance organization
- Assist with the budget and forecasting processes
- Complete special and ad-hoc projects as requested to support business needs
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 4+ years of public accounting experience
- Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Namely, BlackLine, Certent and Concur a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Education, Training and Travel
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Master’s degree and CPA are preferred

- Self-motivated and able to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills. Communication skills are a must due to the amount of interaction this role will have with employees across the company.
