National Account Manager

National Sales Manager is responsible for cold calling, prospecting and building relationships that will increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within the Tradex business unit. Focus areas will include driving new business as well as increasing penetration in existing accounts. Account will be specific to large national end users, including chain restaurants, national grocery, as well as food service and BSC contract companies.

- Customers include chain restaurants, national grocery's, and food service companies
- Lead generation through email, networking and industry association
- Generating new revenue and managing existing customers
- Cold calling potential customers and following up via email
- Presenting to customers and showing value in Tradex Brand
- Position can be Remote
What is expected of you and others at this level
- Manage specific list of current customers with potential to expand relationship
- Participates in the development of new business opportunities across multiple end user industries
- Work with distribution group to develop new business within current business channel
- Maintain positive profitability with current customers
- Interacts with subordinates, peer customers and suppliers at various management levels may interact with senior management
- Ability to plan sales forecast, manage customer P&L, and follow clear objectives
- Gains consensus from various parties involved
- Bachelors degree required
- Graduate degree preferred
- Min 6 years sales experience, preferred
- Ability to travel 25% of time
- Strong planning, forecasting, negotiation and presentation skills
- Previous experience in food service and/or national chain restaurant industry
- Strong relationship skills
- Previous experience working in national wholesale distribution
- Flexible work schedule
