Responsibilities
  • The Marketing Specialist - TDIC and TDSC is responsible for project planning for all aspects of marketing promotion, advertising, sponsorships and client services under the lead, guidance and direction of Marketing Managers. Activities include researching, brainstorming, writing, opportunity and campaign assessment in the development of collateral materials, advertisements, sponsorships, and promotional materials for (TDIC) The Dentist Insurance Company, TDIC Insurance Solutions and (TDSC) The Dentists Service Company.

  • In collaboration with Marketing Managers, author project/creative briefs that convey goals, objectives, strategies, targeting, identifying success metrics and execution of details on initiatives. Guide the movement of work forward using discretion and independent judgment to achieve objectives.

  • Works with key stakeholders on coordination of campaigns including production, list generation, content and offer development, approval, fulfillment, test and refinement plans
  • Oversees the development of schedules and tracks key initiative dates
  • Collaborates with creative, production teams and third party vendors to implement campaigns
  • Facilitates internal and external process to route all marketing materials for approval
  • Tracks and escalates program issues, as appropriate. This will be accomplished by keeping a close eye on deadlines and communicating to the program team when they are at risk
  • Defines success criteria, tracks and monitors performance results of campaign metrics
  • Ensures timeline and milestones are met within budget; codes and processes invoices
Ideal Candidate

Education/Licenses/Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in advertising, marketing, or communications in advertising agency, insurance company, dental practice management or association highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or journalism preferred, or combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum computer skills required: intermediate experience using Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and internet savvy.
  • A solid understanding and demonstrated experience with marketing concepts and brand principles
  • Proven track record working with various cross-functional, internal and external groups to deliver meaningful results on time and on budget
  • Ability to identify and translate goals and objectives into strategies, plans and tactics
  • Strong project, analytical, communication and time management skills
  • Experience planning and executing multi-channel advertising campaigns and marketing programs
  • Experience and confidence in presenting campaigns or program plans to all levels
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage a variety of projects simultaneously, and balance priorities within varied timelines
  • Proven track record in business writing and copy editing using AP Style Guide
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting market data

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

  • Must have excellent communication and writing skills, organizational ability, and creativity as well as a methodical and logical approach to preparation and tasks and problem solving.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining all deadlines is a prerequisite.
  • Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Must demonstrate diplomacy and tact while interacting with all levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Must be able to perform job duties in a collaborative environment, with the ability to negotiate, work independently, exercising good judgment and professionalism.
