Summary

The role of the Marketplace Manager is one of the most critical and exciting in the company. The long-term success of Breather depends on your ability to unlock incredible supply of marketplace locations: spaces secured through revenue-share partnerships with companies and individuals who have beautiful, underutilized space.

As NYC Marketplace Manager, you will own every aspect of marketplace space acquisition, including strategy, sourcing, analysis, negotiation, account management and reporting. You will be responsible for developing growth strategies together with NYC GM, executing on them and sharing your learnings with the broader company.

Most importantly, you will fully understand what it means to be a Breather Marketplace partner, and work cross-functionally to ensure that Breather is the best platform for partners, hands down.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a strategy to acquire and maintain the strongest network of marketplace spaces in NYC.
  • Work with the General Manager and Real Estate Acquisitions Manager to determine where marketplace spaces will have the largest impact for our members.
  • Develop a sales approach and materials to efficiently source and close marketplace spaces.
  • Contribute to the evolution and growth of Breather by collaborating with the Exec team on the development of best practices applicable in every market
Ideal Candidate
  • You are a marketplace builder with 3 - 6 years of experience at a marketplace or on-demand startup, who is looking for an opportunity to drive tremendous growth with a global team of extremely motivated technologists, designers, and operations professionals.
  • Your mission is to develop a strategy to enable Breather to scale marketplace locations quickly and efficiently, and execute on that strategy relentlessly.
  • You are highly energetic, resourceful and you thrive under pressure.
  • You are discerning, and make decisions with an eye towards your goals as well as the overall mission of the company.
  • You are a natural born negotiator who can identify key players in every new market you enter.
  • You have a proven track record for implementing and executing processes while also improving them.
  • You are a problem solver/hustler who can knock down walls when necessary.
  • You have an analytical mind and the self-awareness of a monk.
  • You are highly trustworthy.
  • You are extremely socially adept, with an ability to navigate multiple types of relationships.
  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams.
