Product Manager - Web

The aim of Bitnami is to simplify the deployment of web applications, such as wikis or blogs, in order to make them more accessible. There are a lot of high quality open source software packages that aren’t used as much as they could be because getting them up and running can be a complex process. We want to change that!

Bitnami’s mission is to bring awesome software to everyone. Every month, over 1 million developers come to our site to download and launch their favorite language runtimes and applications. To support our rapid growth, we’re looking for a product leader to focus on our web properties including Bitnami.com and our Launchpads for leading public and hybrid clouds including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure and Digital Ocean. In this role, you will have day-to-day ownership of the quality and success of these properties. This includes deeply understanding customer needs, prioritizing use-cases and collaborating closely with design, engineering and marketing counterparts to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

• Full-lifecycle product management based on business objectives, performance metrics and your knowledge of the evolving cloud landscape
• Working side-by-side with engineering and and design teams to deliver simple solutions to complex problems
• Track market trends to inform decision making for your products and the wider product strategy
• Working with customers and support teams to discover, refine and prioritize new features

• Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience
• 2 years experience in a product management position, preferably on web or mobile product
• Have shipped at least one product or major feature in a product management or engineering role
• Experience with one or more cloud or virtualization platforms preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proven track-record of problem solving and lateral thinking
• This position is based in our San Francisco HQ
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
