Responsibilities
We are seeking a professional with 15 – 20 years of experience in accounting and finance to serve as the Controller of Cantor Commercial Real Estate. The Controller will be responsible for leading a finance staff of 5 in the accounting, tax, product control, compliance, operations, financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting requirements of the business. Duties include: * Responsible for all internal management reporting and external financial reporting, including: - Presenting financial results and their drivers to management, - External financial reporting to investors, lenders, bondholders, and taxing authorities including SEC equivalent quarterly and annual reports, partners’ capital communications, income taxes (partnership tax returns, K-1s, estimated taxes), and debt compliance * Regularly interface with CCRE CEO and business heads as well as shared services personnel and finance leadership from Cantor Fitzgerald * Evaluate and implement changes to the internal control structure to ensure SOX compliance * Coordinating annual audit and quarterly reviews with the external auditors * Assist the CCRE CEO, CFO and COO in preparing for investor earnings calls * Collaborate with the business to evaluate the accounting for proposed transactions * Assist senior management on strategic decisions

**CORE COMPENTENCIES:** * Strong organizational and analytical skill set * Excellent written and verbal communication skill set * Ability to balance multiple projects, work streams and stakeholders and deliver results * Demonstrated staff management ability **QUALIFICATIONS:** * BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * 15-20 years accounting/finance experience, including at least 5 years as a sitting CFO or Controller * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required, MBA a plus * Commercial real estate lending experience preferred
