Qualified candidates will be personable and presentable, great oral communicators, detail-oriented, organized, punctual; can work with minimal direction after training; success-driven; food or confection experience is a plus. - Promote product range (all brands) by calling on chefs, bakers, and confectioners--both current customers and prospects--to familiarize them with products available from Barry Callebaut for their applications.
- Provide technical assistance to customers and prospects when needed, while continuing to strengthen the relationship with the customer and provide a value added service. Relationship building with chefs, bakers, confectioners, and others in the culinary community is an essential part of this job.
- Plan and facilitate events and trade shows
- Development and implementation of a Chicago City strategy - Getting competitive business, building a loyal Chef community, networking events
- Event planning and execution - Working with Sales Manager and Marketing team to plan city events (dinners, demos, shows, etc.)
- Look for organizations/companies to be involved with to increase brand awareness.
- Social Media - Get more active on social media gaining a Chef following and promoting all of the market activities. Partner with Marketing to do Chef interviews promoting products used, incentives to get tags etc.
- Work with local culinary schools students to promote more awareness to BC.
- Culinary background strongly preferred
- Sales and/or Marketing experience preferred
- This position requires a car (travel expenses will be reimbursed).
