Financial Analyst

Responsibilities are similar to the intermediate finance analyst or business support, but they are of less magnitude and involve limited authority. While individuals work independently on general financial activities, such as profitability analysis, forecasting and financial reporting, they work under the direction of senior staff on complex projects and analyses.

• Partner with BFO teams supporting the SOW and Contract Administration process within the accrual process (Includes researching contract terms and amounts)
• Examining expense forecasts and subsequent payments to evaluate the accuracy of the accrual estimates and drive process improvements
• Balance sheet management including reconciliations for accruals and prepaids
• Maintain accrual reporting for management review purposes
• Support data analytics, data extracts, etc in support of the accrual process
• Analyze accrual journal entries
• Any other ad hoc duties around the accrual process

Required Skills:

• Must have Bachelors degree (Finance / Accounting Preferred)
• Strong understanding of accounting, accounts payable procedures and accrual methodologies
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Data Manipulation
• 1-3 + Accounting experience
• Familiarity with proper documentation and control procedures

• SAP/eLedger/Bex reporting
• Hyperion/Essbase/Smartview/EPM (FCSTRPT and Accounts Payable cubes)
• Ariba, Fieldglass, mySource, VIPR
