We are looking for a Sales Engineering Lead to join our team and build out the function at Asana. You will play a critical role in partnering with our growing global Sales team to help companies understand the technical aspects of our product and work closely with Customer Success, Product Management, and Marketing.
- Maintain a strong connection to the Product and Infrastructure Engineering teams
- Understand every technical detail of our product and how to help customers become successful with Asana, including how to leverage our API and 3rd-party integrations
- Partner with our Sales team to deliver compelling demonstrations for larger customer deployment opportunities and ensure seamless transition to post-sales Customer Success teams
- Manage and coordinate RFP and other technical structured processes both internally and externally
- Be creative: help sales representatives and customers find solutions and workarounds to problems, both large and small
- Act as a key voice to our Product and Engineering teams on behalf of sales regarding the prioritization of our product roadmap
- Manage, recruit, and mentor talent on the Sales Engineering team
- 5+ years of enterprise software experience in a technical pre-sales role (people management experience highly preferred)
- Strong presentation skills, with a proven ability to communicate technical aspects to IT and business executives alike
- Natural curiosity to learn about the latest and greatest SaaS trends in the collaboration space
- A BA/BS technical degree in computer science, information systems engineering, or another equivalent technical discipline
