AppNexus is looking for a talented, intellectually curious, ambitious team-player who has the tenacity to deliver results and takes the initiative to join our Client Finance Team as Manager, Client Finance. This position is responsible for all activities around the payment to sellers of advertising inventory on our platform, referred to as Seller Payments. This includes accruing for the liability as part of month end closing process, managing the semi-monthly disbursement process, analysis of trends in seller payments and forecasting of future payments. The perfect candidate can continue to evolve processes and systems to keep up with a rapidly growing and changing business; as well as someone who can organize data and uncover key insights and trends. The Manager, Client Finance, will report to the VP, Client Finance and manage two analysts.
- Manage Semi-Monthly Seller Payment Process
- Manage non-standard and pass-through partner payment process which include partners subject to third party clauses, data providers, et al.
- Serve as a key decision maker within cross functional team initiatives, tasked with determining solutions for complex partner challenges
- Manage monthly closing process which includes ensuring proper accrual of seller payment liability, all accounts are reconciled to general ledger and reporting to key stakeholders
- Develop analysis, provide insights and report to management on trends in seller payments
- Design system and process improvements and work with internal systems team to implement
- Responsible for key controls, process narratives and flowcharts of Seller Payment Function (SOX)
- Provide necessary support to external auditors
- Ad hoc projects and analysis as necessary
About your skills:
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- 5+ years of relevant experience required
- 2+ years of Managerial experience preferred
- Strong analytical expertise
- Ability to work independently and execute firm deadlines
- Highly organized and can manage numerous tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office, mainly Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience with enterprise level ERP required (Infor/Sun experience a plus)
- Experience in the Technology and/or Marketing Industry is a large plus, especially AdTech
