The iTunes Operations Data Services team is looking for a Technical Product Manager to help manage and build reporting tools that support our external partners. The role requires someone who can gather and define requirements, translating those into functional and technical specifications and then managing the development life cycle from start to finish. You will work closely with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, building and managing relationships as well as project roadmaps.
Understand stakeholder data requirements and translate them into system/reporting requirements (functional and technical specifications) for rapid delivery Work with engineering and development teams to analyze business processes to determine inefficiencies and opportunities for automation Provide a point of view on how to architect data solutions and platforms Collaborate closely with UI user experience, development, system infrastructure counterparts to design and build innovative and scalable reporting/analysis tools Manage development teams and provide input on how to build or adjust existing data models to address issues and questions in a scalable long term way Support testing of various reporting or data solutions to ensure data quality Develop and understand metrics to identify, track, and visualize engineering or project trends
- Proven ability to prototype and develop web based data tools using HTML, D3, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Java, and / or C++
- Experience working with diverse and large data sets in big data environments using Hadoop, Hive, SQL, NoSQL, or similar languages
- Previous experience building tools & dashboards for business stakeholders as well as engineering projects
- Extreme attention to detail and ability to self-audit work
- Highly motivated and responsible for self-learning
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time
- Very articulate communicator in both written and spoken contexts
- Ability to deliver high quality results while working in a fast paced & high stress environment
- Bachelors degree
