- Provide routine support of all LAN/WLAN network devices and management applications.
- Solving user tickets at the second and third level (Troubleshooting LAN/WLAN issues, analyzing data and traffic, etc.)
- Taking on specific new projects that require design, support and implementation.
- Deployment of new infrastructure - switches supporting lifecycle management.
- Provide LAN design and detailed network documentation to project teams.
- Provide break-fix support to remote locations, working with onsite IT contacts (if available) and end users.
- Participate in day-to-day network operations and administration according to customer obligations
- Interface with customer IT contacts as well as third-party vendors.
- Document all operational processes and procedures to optimize support and management of deployed systems.
- Engage effectively with other team members and vendors
- Be proactive in spotting and fixing potential problem areas
- Provide emergency after-hours support as part of a scheduled on-call rotation.
- Provide periodic after-hours support for scheduled maintenance activities.
- As-needed assist with non-networking related engineering and operational employee needs.
Education/Experience Required:
- BS/BA Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
- Post-secondary education in Networking, CCNP and a CCNA certifications desired.
- 5 Years of LAN Switching and Routing
- Catalyst/ Nexus Support Skills
- Strong knowledge in implementation and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus and ASA devices
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot VPNs
- Cisco Wireless, including Wireless LAN Controller
- Proficient in network routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP
- Cisco iWAN a plus
