Translation Specialist

Ambit Energy provides electricity and natural gas services in deregulated markets across the United States, primarily marketed through a direct sales channel of more than 400,000 Independent Consultants.

• Responsible for listening to, understanding, and translating spoken or written statements from Japanese to English or English to Japanese accurately.
• Assist evaluating, selecting and managing outsourced translation services from third-party providers.
• Provide interpretation during business meetings.
• Support communications between U.S. and Japanese team. (Due to the time difference between US and Japan, it is required to work after 7pm occasionally.) There is flexibility with work hours/work site location (Dallas and Plano offices) with the opportunity to work remotely on some occasions.

• Bilingual – Japanese and English; Must read, write and speak Japanese in native level and English in business level or Japanese in business level and English in native level.

• Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
