Lead Software Engineer

Altair is focused on the development and broad application of simulation technology to synthesize and optimize designs, processes and decisions for improved business performance.

PBS Control and PBS Access are two new additions to Altair’s PBS Works workload management suite of products that simplifies the access and administration of high performance computing clusters, clouds and supercomputing environments. We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team!

* Lead the GUI development of both PBS Access and PBS Control products on supported platforms; Web, Desktop and Mobile. * Collaborate with the product management and User experience team to identify the requirements * Translate the requirements to functional design * Identify appropriate tools and technology to develop the GUI * Drive tools and technology unification across the team by sharing best practices and reviews * Collaborate with the Services (Backend) team to define APIs * Collaborate with the release team to plan and prioritize tasks, escalation and risk mitigation * Collaborate with documentation team to develop user guides * Adhere to Agile development process * Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and adapt as appropriate

* 6-8 yrs of experience in designing and developing Web applications using Javascript and HTML5 technologies * Expertise with Javascript frameworks/libraries like Angular JS, React, JQuery, etc. * Experience in leading a team of developers is desirable * Experience working with geographically distributed team is desirable * Android and iOS programming experience is desirable
