Alliance is looking for a senior leader to reinvent our Asset Engineering/Redevelopment Department. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Director’s primary function is to oversee the Alliance Asset Engineering Department including redevelopment & repositioning of large multifamily properties in key areas. This individual will have responsibility for the planning, pro-forma modeling and project management of redevelopment projects for a portfolio of diverse multifamily communities. In addition to large-scale renovations of existing assets, the role will also oversee the Alliance preventative maintenance and associate safety strategy.
- Manages the national redevelopment and facilities operating budget
- Establishes strategic business partner relationships between the Asset Engineering/Redevelopment function and each regional operations division
- Enables a high-performing network of internal and external entities to drive efficient service delivery
- Supports robust performance management analysis and reporting, to provide transparency and facilitate effective decision-making
- Drives accountability relative to capital improvement and preventative maintenance projects, thereby enabling sustainable cost reduction
- Creates and enforces a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
- Oversee and directs preparation of operating and capital budgets as well as periodic performance forecasts
- Review and develop marketing and sales plans to identify opportunities to increase value
- Participates in new business development efforts and establishes strong relationships with owners groups
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 7-10 year real estate/construction experience, including several years’ experience in mid-level management or above
- General knowledge of the real estate and development industry
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and related effectively, productively, and positively with other associates.
