Responsibilities

- Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to
specifications
- Write and code Unit Tests
- Respond promptly to and solve defect tickets
- Run and monitor functional and performance tests on new and existing software for the
purpose of correcting mistakes, isolating areas of improvement, and general debugging
- Investigate and resolve Customer issues
- Build monitoring and have the ability to perform debugging in all areas of the code
- Report operational achievements and progress to the Software Development Manager
on a regular basis
- Work effectively with other employees to collaborate toward a goal of providing user
friendly applications
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application development best practices
- Participate in company activities such as marketing programs, planning and design
meetings, retrospectives, and other required process activities
- Direct research on emerging application development software products, languages,
and standards in support of procurement and development efforts

Ideal Candidate

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Software Development with at least 3-5 years of demonstrable JavaScript experience
Experience working with a JavaScript unit testing framework, such as Jasmine
Experience with the React JavaScript library is highly desirable - Angular or Ember experience may be considered
Experience with Web Applications utilizing REST and PHP
Experience in writing and maintaining high quality code, including authoring automated tests.
Understanding of UI/UX design standards
Understanding of responsive web design
Knowledge of defect tracking software
Excellent technical and analytical skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities and be achievement oriented
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with the Agile software development framework
