Akuna Capital is looking for a Python Developer to join our growing development team and enhance our middle office! This person will work closely with some of our C-suite executives, trading teams and developers on various middle-office and compliance projects. The ideal candidate will be able to re-build our existing middle office from the ground up. This is a great opportunity for anyone that is looking to have ownership over new and exciting projects.

* Data retrieval, processing, validation and modeling * Work with various data sources/ inputs using Python * Developing database schemas, triggers, stored procedures, views and user defined functions * Experience of the full software development life cycle (requirements analysis, design, development, unit testing, execute and deployment, and post implementation support)

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent * Strong experience with Python and/or SQL * Comfortable with JavaScript, HTML or CSS a plus * Experience working with large datasets a plus * Must have strong writing and verbal communication skills and must be able to work in an agile development environment. * Proven ability to communicate with less technical users to understand requirements and implement appropriate solutions * Exposure to accounting principles and familiarity with finance
