Anesthesiology Coding Specialist

• Assign clinical codes with classification software
• Review patient bills and charges captured for all Anesthesia sections
• Retrieve patient records for doctors and nurses
• Comb through files to look for preexisting conditions
• Maintain updated knowledge of Anesthesiology codes
• Proficiently utilize ICD-10
• Process the admission and discharge paperwork, as needed
• Electronically record, store and report on reams of data
• Organize and keep numbers for clinical databases and patient registries

• Two year degree, highly preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of Anesthesiology coding experience
• Highly proficient in ICD-10
• Must have current certification for billing, coding, or claims processing
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude
