Senior Data Engineer

As a member of the data team, you’re on the front lines of developing the next generation of Marketing and Advertising technologies, including the infrastructure that allows our customers to seamlessly connect their data to the other marketing apps in the space. You will work closely with fellow engineers, analysts, and data scientists to develop novel systems, algorithms, and processes to handle massive amounts of data using languages such as Python, Java and R.

• Develop and help operate our data pipeline & infrastructure
• Work closely with analysts and data scientists to develop data-driven dashboards and systems
• Tackle some of the most challenging problems in high-performance, scalable analytics

Qualifications:

• A BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with scalability, large-scale data processing and ETL pipelines
• 5+ years experience with Java or Python
• Experience with NoSQL technologies such as Redis, Cassandra, HBase, and/or Hive
• Developing and deploying applications on Linux infrastructure
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, such as Postgres
• 2+ years of experience leading teams and/or managing workloads for team members

Bonus Points:

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Shark/Spark and Storm
• Knowledge of Amazon EC2 or other cloud-computing services
• Experience with Numerical/Scientific Python (Numpy, Numba, SciPy)
• Bi / Analytics tools (e.g. Tableau)
