The Product/Marketing Leader for Gits Mfg. Co. will be responsible for all the Product management activities and upstream ideation and feasibility analysis for markets and products, support product development through stage gate and drive commercialization activities.   In addition, the role will promote the growth & innovation process and tools across the organization to increase awareness and participation. The Marketing/Product Manager will be based in Urbandale, Iowa, and will report directly to the Power-Packer North America (PPNA) General Manager.
 
Gits Mfg Co., a division of our Power-Packer North American business, is a leading provider of air flow management solutions for diesel engines and turbo chargers improving their performance and meeting the ever-increasing emission regulations. Deep understanding of markets, competition and technology to drive sustainable strategic initiatives.
Drive institutionalization of innovation mindset across the business

Ideal Candidate

* Proven experience in collecting and analyzing Voice of Customer and translating intro product opportunities.
* Ability to build effective customer relationships at multiple levels to gather insights to drive growth and create customer loyalty.
* High ability in translating market knowledge into new products, services, value propositions.
* Proven experience in “Go-to-Market”, execution, commercialization of products, channel management.
* Demonstrated, strong management skills to lead a team or champion concurrent projects.
* Proficiency using electronic spreadsheet, database, word processing and graphical presentation software, (i.e. Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word and Power Point, etc.)
* Competencies required:  Customer Focus, Drive for Results, Action Oriented, Intellectual Horsepower, Business Acumen, Listening, and Time Management.
* Minimum of five years of experience in marketing, product management role. 
* Sustained record of self-motivated industrial/manufacturing marketing or product management achievements.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Engineering

* Experience or high exposure to diesel or natural gas engines is highly desirable
* Demonstrates ability to influence others, exhibiting natural leadership abilities
* Resilient and able to work through ambiguity
* Ability to think strategically, using regular business judgment and market knowledge
* Strong Process skills, paying close attention to details
