Overview:
- AcademyHealth, the professional home for health services researchers, policy analysts, and practitioners, and a leading, non-partisan resource for the best in health research and policy, seeks a versatile and creative marketer with the ability to weave online and offline tactics into cohesive and effective promotional campaigns.
- The successful candidate will have 3-5 years experience in marketing communications with demonstrated success defining and engaging target audiences, increasing response rates, and achieving measurable results.
- Non-profit, health care, and/or health policy experience is preferred. Strong writing, attention to detail, and collaborative, client-driven attitude required.
- The position reports to the senior manager of marketing and works closely with all team leaders.
- This position will serve as the primary marketing contact for three-to-five annual events and provide strategic marketing support to program teams working in the area of health information technology, patient engagement and innovation.
- This is a full-time position that will start off as a 6 - month contract with an opportunity to convert into a permanent position.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with program leaders in the development, coordination and execution of campaigns to achieve participation, visibility and engagement goals.

Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote a defined set of AcademyHealth programs and events.

Identify and engage new audiences and partners.

Develop and produce marketing communications materials, ensuring quality, creativity, and cost-efficiency.

Manage the creation, execution and evaluation of email marketing campaigns.

Stay current in emerging and innovative marketing and branding trends, making recommendations on how to apply best practices from new trends to AcademyHealth’s strategic marketing and communications plan.

Evaluate, report, and improve upon marketing communications programs with a focus on measurable results and continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field.

Three to five years related work experience.

Ability to work diplomatically with different project teams.

Organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects with aggressive deadlines.

Ability to effectively support a variety of internal clients and act as a mentor to junior team members.

Strong written and oral communication skills.
Additional Notes on Compensation
The salary range is $30-$32 per hour.
