Strategic Finance Analyst

1stdibs is the world’s largest online luxury marketplace for one-of-a-kind products. It has become the go-to source for the world's leading interior designers and consumers to find antiques, vintage furniture, jewelry, vintage fashion and fine art.

1stdibs is seeking a Strategic Finance Analyst to join the Accounting and Finance team to work on accounting and business analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and reporting to assist stakeholders with key strategic decisions.

Accounting and Business Analysis

• Process refunds and reconcile monthly billing statements
• Record and reconcile advertising bookings
• Record and reconcile deferred revenue
• Prepare month-end reports, in particular: AR reconciliation, revenue calculation and analysis
• Provide insightful, data analysis to create effective solutions that align with company objectives, issues, and root causes
• Support the Accounting and Finance team with any other duties as may be assigned
• Support cross functional teams by providing understanding of financial metrics and their drivers

Forecasting

• Assist in monthly and quarterly financial revenue and cost reporting process including reconciliations and financial analyses
• Assist with budget and forecasting processes and analysis
• Monitor accuracy and predictability of financial reports

Reporting and Relationships

• Prepare budget variance and ROI analyses
• Perform other ad-hoc analyses as needed
• Engage in the preparation of presentations to company’s senior executives, investors and other external stakeholders
• Collaborate with business owners across the company to develop key metrics and KPIs

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related quantitative
• field
• Prior experience in analytical roles such as accounting, consulting, banking, sales operations, strategy preferred
• Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint. Knowledge of SQL a plus
