The goal of a Business Development Representative is to take a lead from a marketing campaign, qualify the lead through opportunity discovery and follow through until demo request or free trial is generated.
- Initiate contact with prospects through outbound efforts, creating interest and positioning of the PowerPost SaaS tool.
- Use of strong selling and influencing skills to set up qualified appointments.
- Play a vital role in sales pipeline growth through generation of qualified sales opportunities.
- Consistent use of sales approach and techniques based on established sales system.
- Log, track and maintain all activities and contact records within the CRM software.
- Attend sales meetings, vendor training, local trade shows to keep current with technology.
- Metrics driven and willing/able to sustain a high level of activity in order to achieve assigned goals.
- Tech savvy and a fast learner with the ability to multitask.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong in-person, phone and written customer communication skills.
- Understanding of workflow systems and their application to customer business process improvement.
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and be self-motivated prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals.
- 1-2 years of Inside Sales experience is ideal
- SaaS background is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
